Why did I start a brokerage? Simple. After what I've seen, I want to have a positive impact on my community and friends. Ask anyone who knows me; I genuinely want to help. Rare, but I truly care.
Most of my career has been in human capital management, working with executives, HR, controllers, and their employees. I helped my clients find impactful solutions around benefits, HR, payroll, retirement, timekeeping, and various other employee facing products. I discovered that having a positive impact on the lives of others and their business is what drove me.
I've always been a fixer. I like finding solutions to problems and making lives easier. That is not something you can lose. If there is a problem, I need to find the root cause and possible solution to ensure the problem does not arise again. My family loves it, but I'm sure I drive them crazy often as well.
My fiancé, Christine and I are kept very busy with our son Dylan and daughter Myah. We love everything Colts and Pacers and frequent games throughout the year. Camping, boating and lounging around the pool are our favorite activities in the summer. I try to get out once a week for golf, which I feel they always appreciate as a break from Dad.
What Started It All and Our Purpose
When I first met with clients, I noticed significant gaps in our healthcare industry and processes. I found transparency issues from brokers and carriers. Companies with less than 100 employees need more support. Deals under the rug and handshakes behind closed doors are NOT in the best interest of those we represent.
I've spoken with clients who could not tell me who their broker was. Other clients may be paying four times what they should in fees and commissions. It's remarkable to see what some will do with the trust of others. This is far too important an issue to tackle from a brokerage that may not share my values and vision. And so, Stanley Benefits was born.
I will not claim to have a complete fix. Our Healthcare Industry is broken. I can claim truth and dedication that cannot be matched. Whether we work together or not, I want to hear you voice your concerns and problems. If you're having them, others are too.
Your employees are your greatest asset! They need benefits that are right for them. Not benefits that a complacent broker provides because they don’t find your business valuable enough to put the work in to change it. A broker once told me, "I'm basically retired. I just sit back and collect my check." Your broker gets paid for overseeing your plan every month. If they're not working for you, please call someone who will.
